PLASTIKBERGE through Migros packaging: Let's get real.... I'm beginning to wish for a really high, really painful plastic tax similar to the CO₂ tax for all grocery stores that are so resistant to significant steps to save plastic. I hereby ask Migros to think about how to save plastic packaging, especially for cakes and tarts, in the next few weeks, not years. As an alternative to the plastic tax, a law that forces grocery stores to take back the packaging of their patisserie products for recycling would also be useful. I am increasingly annoyed by the mountain of plastic packaging and the fact that there is still no free recycling option (yes, I wrote FREE). The polluter should pay for the costs, as should the customer who still wants to have plastic packaging. The customer should have the option to choose: if he chooses plastic, he should pay the highest price for the packaging, as expensive as our descendants will pay for our misdeeds - if the customer chooses his own crockery, the product should be cheaper by the amount of the expensive packaging. How quickly do you think this regulation would catch on? Right now, every opportunity to save a penny is being taken seriously. I can literally see the queues of people who bring their own Tupperware and are very happy to take advantage of this offer, I would be one of them, several times a week. Yes, several times a week - a 300% increase in sales is realistic. I would prefer to bring my own containers and do without the packaging, then simply pay directly at the bread counter after receiving the goods (which are displayed behind glass), so that no crook accidentally leaves with the little cake and forgets to pay. It works just as well in other stores. So dear Migros - you already do so many things so well, why not take this hurdle too, it's much smaller than you think and it's definitely worth it in both economic and environmental terms. Now briefly to the carrot cake: 1/5th less sugar, more carrots and I would buy it again.
