I used the box with lid in the microwave as described on the packaging. The small venting lid was open. When I took the box out of the microwave, the lid was very curved and is now completely warped or no longer flat. I can still close the box, but I can't stack the lids. Is this normal?

The microwave has a maximum microwave power of 800 W. I'm not sure, but I think I heated the box at 80 or 100% for 2.5 to 3 minutes.
Incidentally, I have just put it back in the microwave at 100% for 2 minutes. During this time, the vent lid lowered so much that it looked closed at first glance. But it wasn't completely closed, the last bit was missing.

Hello bamuwy, thank you for your patience. Based on your description, the specialist department assumes that the grill function of the microwave was activated. As a result, the product bulged. Even with the valve open, a plastic item cannot withstand such temperatures and melts (comparable to an oven). We cannot explain the situation any other way. The grill function was certainly not switched on, as the button for this has not worked for years and has been removed. I also assume that it is PP. This looks different if it has been exposed to a heat source. I have my experience from the development laboratory.... I'm assuming that it's one of those mysterious cases where you never find out what it was, or only by chance. Thanks for the clarifications.
