Dear Migros, why aren't Brussels sprouts available from Swiss producers? surely that should be feasible? I can't imagine that there aren't any farmers who grow Brussels sprouts. Additional question: Why aren't Brussels sprouts available in organic quality?
Hello Ian76 Thank you for contacting us. Swiss Brussels sprouts are indeed available. However, they are already sold out. Unfortunately, the area under cultivation in Switzerland has declined sharply, which is why we are having to switch to other provenances earlier and earlier. The cultivation of Brussels sprouts is very demanding. Even more so in organic farming than in conventional farming. This is also the reason why it is difficult to get hold of large quantities of available organic Brussels sprouts. We still have this on our "to-do list" and will be happy to follow up on it. We hope we have helped you with this answer and wish you a wonderful springtime. your M-Infoline team

Why does it say fresh on the pack and no date? Bought in St. Antonino, 500 g. When prepared, 319 grams remained. Unfortunately not fresh at all,
Good morning LuganoFresca is the brand under which fruit and vegetables have been offered since the end of 2017. You can read about it in MM48 of 27.11.2017, pages 46/47. Best regards Frederica
We have informed the entire supply chain, from the supplier to the point of sale, to intensify controls by product. The packaging date is only applied and used for products packaged in Switzerland. For imported products, there are different distances and intervals, and the date is not a useful criterion for determining the quality of the product, it would be misleading. We refer to the start time of each individual product with a code, and visual inspection remains the main criterion for freshness. your M-Infoline team
