Preservative: E 250; glucose syrup; acidity regulator: E 262; antioxidant: E 301, natural flavoring. All these E in the cooked products... Get rid of them. There is another way.

Yes, there is another way, just don't buy this product any more, I have found alternatives.

Do you want to share this with the community? I would be interested.

Hello foodexperte, the industrial nature of food production and the requirements for quality, safety and shelf life often require the use of additives. An example: ham contains sodium nitrite (E 250). Sodium nitrite is a component of nitrite curing salt. Nitrite curing salt prevents the growth of pathogenic bacteria, is responsible for the reddish color and the typical taste of cured meat products and increases the shelf life by slowing down fat oxidation (protection against fat rancidity). Nitrite curing salt has a preservative effect and has remained the most effective means of preventing the occurrence of life-threatening food poisoning caused by the toxin of the Clostridium botulinum bacterium. These bacteria cannot be killed by heat treatment, and as spores they can also withstand higher temperatures. It is assumed that if the treatment of meat products with nitrite curing salt is discontinued, the number of dangerous diseases would increase. This is why nitrate and nitrite are among the most important additives in food today and are even used in the production of organic meat products. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The packaging is very difficult to open and tears. The foil should actually be resealable, but if it tears, there's no chance of resealing it properly.

The ham may be delicious, but before you can eat it, you're just annoyed: firstly because the packaging tears, and secondly because the tray has three strange dents in it. After several attempts to take a slice of ham out of the packaging, the attempt fails again. Because where the ham lies on the dent, it tears apart. In other words, the result is not a beautifully arranged ham roll but a "sandwich".

Hello corueegg

We are sorry that the ham is causing you so much trouble.

We have been checking the quality of the packaging with our supplier over the last few months. We have now decided to replace the films with a different version. The new standard films have a better peel and are therefore easier to open.

The Rapelli ham shoulder aha! contains no phosphates and is therefore more natural compared to other hams. However, the water content is also lower as a result, making the slices more fragile. We therefore recommend that you take the pack out of the fridge and wait a little before using it. This makes it easier to separate the individual slices.

We hope that you can enjoy the ham again in the future and wish you a great day!

Best wishes from the M-Infoline team
