Hello Are the emulsifiers (E471) in ice cream plant-based?
Hello Smen, the emulsifier E471 is produced on the basis of fatty acids, which can theoretically be of animal origin, but are normally of vegetable origin. MIDOR AG, which produces our ice cream products (ice cream), only uses emulsifiers of vegetable origin. The emulsifier E 471 in Seehund Rahmglace Vanilla, 160300400000 is of vegetable origin. Didn't these ice cream sticks used to have 50g instead of 40g of ice cream on them or am I wrong ? If I remember correctly, I compared the vanilla sticks from Volg with Migros about 2 years ago and was annoyed that the Volg ones had "only 40g" instead of 50g like the Migros ones. Maybe I'm wrong. Who knows?
