Hello gudi91, can you please give us the lot number and the best-before date? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello gudi91, thanks to the information you provided, we were able to carry out internal investigations. We found no deviation in this production. The raw material met the quality standards.
As cheese is a natural product, variations may occur from one wheel to another. In fact, it is difficult to evaluate the development of each individual product.
To date, we have not received any similar customer feedback. We hope your experience is positive again in the future and wish you a pleasant day. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

is the cheese made with microbial rennet? some time ago there was a list to look up which cheeses are edible for vegetarians, now this list no longer exists. (which we are VERY sorry about!) we are afraid that something has been changed and that this cheese is enriched with dead animals. is this cheese still made with microbial rennet?
Hello Sheily, thank you for your inquiry. This cheese is made exclusively with microbial rennet. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why does this Swiss raclette cheese here cost 50 percent more than the Swiss Strähl raclette cheese in Edeka Konstanz?
Hello ani2905, thank you for your post. Prices in Switzerland are indeed much higher in some cases than in neighboring countries, and there are various reasons for these higher prices. Simply because of the small-scale structures, the higher cost of living and the high wage level, we generally have a much higher price level in Switzerland than abroad, which is particularly evident in the healthcare system, rents and also in magazines and advertising rates. The different needs of consumers also contribute to the high price level. In Switzerland, for example, the standard of fittings in shopping centers and quality standards are very high. Migros has campaigned for the introduction of the Cassis de Dijon principle and the authorization of parallel imports. These two measures help in the fight against Switzerland as a high-price island. However, implementation is not easy and takes time. What is clear, however, is that Migros will pass on all the savings made to its customers. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Is this product made with microbial or animal rennet? Unfortunately, most cheeses are not labeled as such.
Hi Blackie, the Raccard slices are produced with the help of microbial rennet. Unfortunately, it is not (yet) possible to tell whether a cheese is made with animal rennet or a rennet substitute, as most cheeses do not have a list of ingredients (which is correct under food law, by the way). In future, however, Migros will include a corresponding note on the packaging of cheeses made with microbial rennet. This information will also be available in the product information that is displayed online. (You can find an example here: https://www.migros.ch/en/product/212580200000). However, the changeover to this new, transparent type of declaration will still take some time, especially when it comes to adapting the packaging. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello This raclette cheese has been our favorite for years. However, what we ate today was a rubbery, transparent, tasteless and sticky mass, but we ate the "cheese" anyway because of our bad food waste conscience. When I looked in the reviews, I found several similar and bad reviews, in addition to many positive ones. So far we have always been satisfied, but had noticed for some time that the cheese was rather bland compared to the past, but the product we ate today has nothing in common with raclette. For the time being, we are staying away from Migros Raclette. Is there an explanation for this difference in quality?
Hello galleria, thank you for your message. We are sorry that you were not able to enjoy the specialty as usual. Given your description, we understand your disappointment. It is true that you drew our attention to the unsatisfactory taste and the rubbery consistency. To enable us to follow up on your comment, we would ask you to send us the best-before date and the batch number (a combination of numbers and letters). We thank you in advance for your valuable support. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Hello, unfortunately the packaging is already gone. But I bought the product on 13.09.2022 in the Gümligen store. Seems to be the same batch that a customer bought in Riehen on 22.9. and gave it a single star in the review a few days ago. Maybe that will help.
Hello galleria, thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry that you were unable to enjoy the raclette cheese! Unfortunately, we cannot make any specific clarifications without the production data. However, we strictly monitor the quality of the raclette cheese, including through various tastings. We also regularly check the taste, melting properties and appearance of this product. As it is a natural product, we can never completely rule out fluctuations in the production of the cheese. Differences in taste between different production series are therefore possible. There may even be differences in quality within a production run. Of course, these deviations must be within the defined tolerance limits. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Hello, thank you for your quick reply. Minimal variations in the cheese are not a problem, but with this raclette cheese something must go really wrong from time to time, otherwise you wouldn't keep reading the same bad reviews on Migipedia. In any case, I've never had such a rubbery, sticky mass in the raclette pan before and I don't think this can be explained by deviations within the tolerance range. It's a shame that the cause can no longer be investigated, so the only option is to stop using this product.
