Pictures of my product review on Migipedia today. This certainly does not correspond to the quality promise of M. Bought today, 17.4.24, in MM Biberist.

Hello hrsp, thank you very much for your message. Oh dear, what a shame that the raisins predominated! We understand that you are disappointed. The ingredient is added to the quark mixture at the end. During the filling process, the heavier raisins sink slightly in the kettle. This makes it difficult to ensure an even mixture. It is therefore essential to carry out this step with particular care. Your experience makes it clear to us that we did not succeed in doing this as we had hoped. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. You can rest assured that we have asked the relevant departments to proceed with the appropriate care. We hope you will give our quark tart another chance to convince you of its tried-and-tested enjoyment! Sincerely, your M-Infoline team

Thank you for your research. Purchased and consumed on 19.03.2023 Is the picture and details clearly visible?

Hello itina, thank you for the additional information and for the photo. As the best-before date is in the past, we were unable to check a retained sample. The current samples with new dating do not show any of the deviations you mentioned. As we have not received any similar customer feedback, we assume that this is an unfortunate isolated case.

The prices of raw materials, packaging materials and energy are currently rising in many parts of the world, including Switzerland. The main reasons for this are a global shortage of certain raw materials and problems in the supply chains. Both factors are related to the effects and after-effects of the coronavirus pandemic and the war in Ukraine. As a result, we can no longer bear the costs ourselves and are passing them on to our customers in the form of a price increase.

Of course, we are constantly monitoring the market situation. If circumstances permit, we will make the necessary adjustments. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Question.... This March I bought a quark cake for the first time in a long time and it was really bad.... Not airy at all, but as griessig as when the quark has become flaky! The cake was also mega sweet. Were there any other complaints? Was it a production error? The mega price increase is also alarmingly high! Why?

Hello itina, thank you very much for the message. Too bad you didn't like the cake as usual. We would like to look into this. Could you please let us know the best-before date and the lot number? You can find both details on the packaging. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Is the quark tart with apples no longer available?

Hello (not available) Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry that you are missing the Quarktorte with apples on the shelves of the Migros Aare Cooperative. We have gladly reviewed your request. We have revised our product range. The decision was made to remove the product from the range. Unfortunately, not all our customers liked it as much as you did. Sometimes it is unavoidable to discontinue an item, and it can be disappointing when a much-loved product suddenly disappears from the shelves. With the targeted revision of the range, we would like to meet the wishes of the majority of our customers as far as possible - we ask for your understanding. We assure you that we will examine such a decision very carefully, but if you are ever in the Migros Cooperative Zurich or Ticino - the Quarktorte with apples is still available there. we look forward to welcoming you again and wish you a wonderful springtime. your M-Infoline team

I really miss the version with apples too! The apples made it particularly refreshing and juicy.
Could it be that it's coming back in the larger Migros Aare branches?
Kind regards Simone

How can I dispose of the pack? It is not written on the pack.

Hello Marceln13, thank you for your question. You can dispose of the pack in your household waste as usual. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Marceln13, just put it in the household waste as normal. I always fill the pack with other waste, then close the cake box, so you hardly lose any space in the bag.

Dear Migros team I love this quark tart more than anything. I have just looked at the list of ingredients and was disappointed to see that you use barn eggs and palm oil. I know that palm oil has a special consistency and is not easy to replace. But at least the eggs could be converted to free-range...? As part of Generation M, for example :) Kind regards Simone

Guest

I used to be able to do without palm oil and that's why I don't buy any product that contains the "carcinogenic" junk on principle, just read the ingredients before buying and then it goes back into the rack, because I can see that it works without it in the Coop

Hello SimiV. From our point of view, too, it would certainly be desirable to process only free-range eggs. However, in view of the current egg shortage (CH, EU), it is unfortunately not possible to switch. It is already very costly to cover our demand for barn eggs. JOWA AG is committed to using only eggs from animal-friendly husbandry. We have also recorded this in our raw materials charter: We only use eggs from animal-friendly free-range or barn farming. We know our suppliers and we know how they produce. In addition to the legal requirements, Migros has introduced the winter garden (covered, weather-protected fresh air area) as standard for barn eggs. Palm oil is contained in margarine and is used there for technological reasons because, unlike other vegetable oils, it is solid at room temperature. We only use sustainable palm oil and try to replace it when we find an acceptable alternative. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

...and nothing has changed even after 2 years. 😠

Hello rollimaus, thank you for your message. It is correct that no change has yet been made. Unfortunately, various factors are still presenting us with a challenge. Firstly, the egg shortage is still present. That is why we are unable to change over. Secondly, we lack alternative ingredients for palm oil that do not affect the quality of the dessert. However, this does not mean that we are not looking into these issues intensively. After all, our aim is to meet the wishes of our customers. Best regards. Your M-Infoline team

What's so difficult about making it again without palm oil? It used to be possible without palm oil!

Hello rollimaus, thank you very much for your feedback. There have been no changes to the quark tart recipe. What has changed is the declaration. Since 2015, we have listed the ingredients individually for the sake of transparency. Previously, palm oil was listed on the packaging under the generic term "vegetable oil" or "vegetable margarine". Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The product has been around since my youth and back then it was palm oil-free.

Can I have the recipe?

I don't think that after more than 30 years it is still relevant in which stores I bought the quark tarts back then *g*...The question remains: Is the composition different today than it used to be, that it needs to be refrigerated today...

Hello migae! Exactly, the unrefrigerated quark tart hasn't been around for a long time. This quark tart has been around since 2015 and has been chilled since it opened. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The quark tart has been around for a few years now... I can still remember exactly when I bought it as a child (over 30 years ago). Back then it was still on the shelf with the cakes next to the bread in our store. Today it is everywhere in the chiller cabinet. Have the ingredients changed since then?

Hello migae, thank you for contacting us. Can you tell us which store you bought the quark tart from? Thank you for your feedback and best regards, your M-Infoline team

The quark tart bought at Migros Albisriederplatz on 14.3.2014 consisted of over 50% grapes! Grapes in some quark: new recipe or employee sabotage?

Dear guest
We are sorry that the quark tart gives cause for complaint. We need as much information as possible so that we can investigate the matter. Please provide us with the following numbers:
1. the EAN code (barcode)
2. the M-Data (date of sale and/or use by date)
3. the batch or lot number
We can use these numbers to check when exactly the cake was produced and whether any errors occurred during production at that time.
You will find the lot/batch number next to the best-before date, usually starting with the letter L or a mixture of letters and numbers.
We can use this information to clarify the causes of this incident and avoid similar occurrences in the future. Please understand that without this information we will not be able to make any clarifications and therefore cannot give you a clarifying answer.
We look forward to hearing from you and wish you all the best from the M-Infoline team.

Dear guest
Thank you for the requested information.
When making the quark mixture, the raisins are folded into the mixture at the end. As these sink slightly during filling, it is possible that the distribution may vary slightly and the fruit may accumulate.
We have asked our employees to pay even more attention to this issue.
We apologize for the inconvenience and wish you a pleasant weekend.
See you soon and best regards
Your M-Infoline Team
