Unfortunately, it is largely ineffective. Although the snails eat the seeds, this does not seem to eliminate them or stop them eating. This means that once the seeds have been eaten, they move straight on to the plants, which are then also eaten bare. Last year I had total damage to all the broccoli plants that I wanted to protect with this product. Every evening I was able to collect dozens of snails from the broccoli. I cut a few with scissors as a test. They were completely blue on the inside. So, as I said, although the bait is eaten, it is either completely ineffective or at least works so slowly that a lot of damage is caused beforehand. This year I have a lot of damage to the melon seedlings, although I have spread a lot of Ferramol over a large area. I therefore assume that the bait was eaten, but did not eliminate the slugs. If you consider the large quantities of this product that you have to apply and the high price, you can forget the whole thing altogether.
