I think it's generally good that products are being improved BUT now I have 2 products that I have used enthusiastically for years, which I will unfortunately have to do without in future and look for an alternative from the competition. One of them is M-Budget household paper.
This has always stood out from all the others. It was very tear-resistant and extremely economical! Now it is thicker (who needs 3 layers???), like all other household paper rolls, but it has much less on the roll. And what's with the extra 1/2 perforation? It's practically impossible to tear off a normal sized paper without a lot of effort! I was very annoyed this morning. I'm totally disappointed at the moment and will have to look around for a (better) alternative, as I've already written.
I would be interested to see this "a lot of negative feedback". The product, including reviews, can no longer be found. Otherwise Migros doesn't care about negative feedback either 😂

Just click through the three pages here and you'll see the negative feedback...

Hello schmidx, thank you for your message. We had switched to a new paper for M-Budget household paper. The reason is that the previous manufacturer of the M-Budget recycled paper has unfortunately left the recycling business and the previous product is no longer available. We are therefore sourcing the item from a new supplier. Kind regards, Angela

Hello Chloe, I too am very annoyed that the tried and tested and very popular M-Budget household paper has once again been removed from the range. This is despite the fact that the past has clearly shown that this was very badly received by customers. They write: Due to various customer feedback..... Sorry, this statement is not credible for me and hardly corresponds to the facts! If I want a "fluffy", x-ply household paper with maybe 50 sheets per roll, there are countless alternatives!
Please take your customers and their needs SERIOUSLY and restock the shelves with the ORIGINAL M-Budget household paper!
Thank you and best regards
Rena
Hello Rena61, we now have more information as to why this adjustment has been made. The previous manufacturer of the M-Budget recycled paper has unfortunately left the recycling business and the previous product is no longer offered in this form. We are therefore sourcing the product from a new supplier. The fact that it is now 3-ply is an improvement in quality from our point of view. Kind regards, Angela

It's a deterioration, and half of it is the Obergau. Not usable. In my opinion, there is a solution: find a new supplier who produces the papers as before.

landi has two-ply household paper from royal excellence - maybe that's something for you
Yes, the Landi has a lot on offer for the household that is very cheap, but unfortunately you are almost dependent on a car.

I can only support Rena61.
The aforementioned budget household paper was discontinued a few years ago and then reintroduced to the range - in parallel with a thicker budget household paper - due to feedback that was not just 'diverse'.
The fact that this then disappeared from the range probably says it all...

I would like to ask whether there is any chance of reintroducing the tried and tested product. I think the quality of the alternative is a disaster. One roll has only 90 sheets, whereas the budget paper had more than 300. It couldn't be more ecological! The new product contains mainly air and the absorbent effect is worse despite the 3 layers. What can we as consumers do to ensure that the popular budget product is reintroduced?

Dear Angela
Do you see any posts here in this forum that share your opinion that this is an improvement in quality?
You are also implying that tens of thousands of customers have been buying inferior quality for years...
As a member of the Migros Cooperative, I call on Migros to use its market position and have the new producer produce household paper in the proven two-ply quality.

The M-Budget household paper was unique.
It's incomprehensible that Migros is providing yet another reason to shop at the competition.
As a Migros child, I am totally disappointed.
Take all the feedback seriously and oblige your new supplier to produce the M-Budget household paper in the proven compact 2-ply quality.
