Neues Migipedia-Forum als Beta-Version – Feedback willkommen

If you're reading this post, then you're in the Migipedia forum, which is exactly what we've been revamping over the last few weeks. We are constantly investing in the further development and improvement of the Migros community platform. But we have admittedly treated the forum rather neglected in recent months. There are many reasons for this. But instead of going on at length about why this has been the case, I would like to introduce you to the new forum.
Today we have put it online as a so-called beta version. Beta version means that we are offering the new and the old forum in parallel for the time being, collecting your feedback and offering you the opportunity to go through the rest of the development process together. You can access the beta version via the forum homepage with the link "to the new forum" or by clicking on the blue button above.

What's new in the forum is ...
... a lot. But before I go into the new features, I'd like to point out that the new forum still offers the same functions as the existing forum. But now to the new features:
The first thing you will notice is the design. This is now even more closely aligned with the appearance of the rest of the Migipedia pages. Our own contributions and the categories "Products", "Shopping", "Cumulus", "Migipedia" and "General" have been given more weight by providing direct access to the categories via the forum homepage. We are convinced that this will allow you to enter specific discussions in a more targeted way and find what you are looking for more quickly. Let's stay with "find faster" for a moment: On the category pages, there is now a search function that only searches the category itself. This produces fewer, but more precise search results.
One of the most important innovations, which is not obvious, is the handling of the four languages German, French, Italian and English: Previously, we had a separate forum for each of the four languages. What was discussed in Italian was not discussed in German. In other words: We used to have four forums in different languages and with different discussions. In the new forum, we no longer differentiate. There is only one forum with all discussions.
How do we do this with the four languages? Machine translations - we have had many positive experiences with this in recent months and years - for example with product reviews. All discussions are now available to everyone, regardless of language. As with the product reviews, we also indicate in the forum if a discussion or a reply to it has been published in another language, and you have the option of switching to the original language.
It is now also possible to "pin" individual posts on the forum homepage. This allows us to share specific discussions with you in a more targeted way, regardless of the category. In our opinion, these are the most important or most obvious new features. More will follow and we will inform you about them in due course.

Feedback always welcome
As mentioned, we will collect your feedback on the new forum and invite you to join us on the rest of the development journey. Please let us know how you feel about the new forum. What do you like? What is not yet fully developed? Also let us know about any bugs. You can give feedback directly as a reply to this post or via the feedback function in the blue button above.
The development of the new Migipedia forum is not yet complete with the beta version. Further functions will be added in the coming weeks and months. Nevertheless, it is important for us to share the status of our current work with you and to take your feedback into account. Let's go this way together! We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your commitment and feedback.

Kind regards
Philipp
