Almost as good as homemade
I made a wonderful chestnut polenta, not with this, but with the M-Classic Bramata 7617027931526, which may no longer be on the shelves. For this I needed 1.5 dl water (stock) and milk, 1 chopped banana shallot and 100 g finely grated chestnuts. Cook the coarse maize grits into polenta, cook the chestnuts and finely grate, finely chop the shallot. Mix the polenta with the chestnut puree and spread about 1 cm onto baking paper or a buttered tray and shape. I wanted to cut out large M shapes with a biscuit cutter, but failed, so I made rhombuses and triangles. Garnish with butter flakes and bake in the oven. Served with savoy cabbage seasoned with salt and butter. It also tasted good without meat, but I added a few drops of Sélection Aceto Balsamico for flavor.
POLENTA Sausage at CA 1.20FR why is it no longer available... was great you could fry it well and above all portion it...
Unfortunately not yet on Migipedia is the "polenta sausage" available from Migros, which I think is GENIUS in terms of taste and variety of preparation: 500g of ready-made, fine-grained polenta that looks like a yellow sausage in the packaging. The pleasantly compact polenta mass can be easily removed from the packaging, cut into slices and prepared quickly and in a variety of ways in the pan/microwave/oven. Also very suitable for individuals, as the rest can easily be stored in the fridge (e.g. Migros topline tin) for a few days. Meanwhile, I much prefer this great product to the long-lost Subito polenta with cheese, as the polenta sausage contains neither cheese nor other overly dominant spices or too much salt. With the former Subito polenta with cheese, the cheese flavor was not always welcome and the polenta was (too) salty. Fortunately, the polenta sausage is also available in smaller Migros stores and, in my opinion, is highly recommended.
