Hello, I have a packet of Planted Chicken with an expiration date of 21.12.25. But now the whole pack has blown open. The product has always been stored in the fridge. Is the product spoiled or still edible?
Hello breani, thank you for your question. The swelling of the bag indicates microbial growth, which in turn is due to a break in the cold chain. The composition of vegan chicken requires special handling, which includes keeping it below 5 degrees Celsius. Even briefly exceeding this temperature can lead to the acceleration of microbial growth or product spoilage with gas formation. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to trace where in the value chain this occurred. We will continue to keep a close eye on this issue. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team
I just had to throw away two packages of Planted before their expiration date because they were bloated. In general, I've been having a lot of bad experiences with Migros products over the past few weeks (bad eggs in every package, etc.). What's going on there?
