If the Prussians are declared vegan, why can milk and egg products be present?

Vegan products do not contain any ingredients containing milk or egg. The note "may contain..." on product packaging serves as a warning for allergy sufferers. The note is added if, despite all precautionary measures, there is a risk of minor unintentional carry-over of allergenic substances such as milk and egg during production. Allergy sufferers can have health reactions to even the smallest amounts of allergens. Depending on the severity of the allergy, this label offers a certain degree of certainty that such critical products can be excluded from the diet. Labeling a product with the international V-label guarantees that the product in question meets the requirements for a vegetarian or vegan diet. The manufacturer of such a product is obliged to minimize the risk of possible unintentional contamination with animal substances.

Why can't Migros manage to sell them unburned? I don't want to know what the results of an acrylamide analysis would be.

Hello Infoline team, just go to the nearest Migros store and get a pack of the product. The problem has existed for months. You can already see the dark brown, burnt edges through the transparent outer packaging. A pack of the organic product can serve as a comparison and positive example of unburnt Prussiens. Incidentally, I also think it's cheeky of Migros to market the switch from high-quality and expensive butter puff pastry to cheap palm fat puff pastry as progress under the guise of "vegan", especially as I strongly suspect that this switch is one of the reasons for the product's black edges. Hello Bioman, thank you for your renewed message. There may be certain fluctuations in the degree of baking. Our production staff are instructed to generously sort out any Prussians that are too dark. To date, we have not received any similar customer feedback, but we are still keeping an eye on the issue. Those responsible confirm that our Prussians have always been vegan and that we have not made any changes to the recipe. The first V-Label certificate for these Prussians was issued on 28.08.2016. I was very disappointed with the quality of my last 2 purchases of Preussen Classic. Has the recipe been changed? I will never buy them again. The spelt Preussen, on the other hand, are very good, but the packaging size is too small and far too expensive. When will they be back in action with the larger packaging unit?
