Why is so much mineral water (Perrier, Vittel, etc.) imported from abroad when Switzerland is the land of water? It is also very expensive and certainly causes additional environmental pollution. Whether other mineral waters differ so significantly in taste is questionable. There would certainly be alternatives from the region. (From the region, for the region / e.g. Eptinger in the Mittelland region)

I find the Aproz Medium 6x500ml at 3.60 almost outrageously expensive! In Aldi (abroad...) I pay 19 cents per bottle.... Perrier should be bought in France (as soon as the borders are open again)

Hello Zunder1, thank you for your inquiry about our mineral water range. Transport has only a minor impact on the environmental footprint when importing water, especially as Migros relies on rail transport wherever possible. In 2018, 70% of all beverage deliveries were made by rail. This figure is actually increasing. We also strive to close loops by using as much recycled PET as possible and regularly adapt our product range in line with the needs and wishes of our customers. In addition to the foreign mineral water brands that our customers value above average, we offer a wide range of mineral water from Switzerland. These include Aproz, Aquella and Valais. In detail, we offer around 60 % water from Switzerland and around 40 % from abroad. We have, of course, passed on your input to the specialist department so that they can examine any necessary adjustments. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
