Hello Migros, I've already had two experiences of one fillet becoming "mushy" after steaming, really "plump" and inedible! I don't think it's due to cooking for too long. (5-8 min.)
The packs came from 2 purchases made at different times.

We regret that our Pelican MSC cod fillets have given you cause for complaint.
Our supplier was able to give us the following explanations regarding your report:
It can happen that the cod becomes slightly softer after cooking; this occurs due to natural seasonal fluctuations and the feed intake also has an influence.
If the fillets have a different consistency after cooking, this also has to do with whether it is a tail piece or a middle piece. The size of the cod also has an influence on its consistency.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that all portions in a pack are cut from just one cod, so they can also vary. So far we have never received a complaint that the consistency was so soft that the fish was no longer edible.
