Regarding the taste: the typical spicy note was no longer as intense (greasy and bland).
Unfortunately, I cannot provide any information on the best-before date or the lot number. The packaging has already been disposed of.

Hi ChuYc, the frozen Pelican product does indeed contain Alaska pollock instead of cod. The reason for this improvement is that Alaska pollock is juicier and therefore produces a better quality product.
