I would have liked to know what heavy metals are in these salmon fillets and to what extent! Thank you for your honest information!
Hello KateT, your request is being investigated by the specialist department. We will get back to you shortly. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Thank you for your patience, KateT. The salmon fillets come from sustainable, controlled aquaculture in Norway. Our partners adhere to the strict EU regulations, including for heavy metals. There are clear legal limits that are regularly checked to guarantee food safety. The entire production chain - from rearing to packaging - is monitored by independent bodies. This is how we ensure the highest quality and transparency. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Do you have more detailed information about the heavy metal content in salmon?
I would also like to know how much omega three is still in your salmon, because I really like the fish, but I can't eat it without omega three!
Thank you for your question and your patience, KateT. We check our product range regularly and on a risk basis, including for heavy metals. Our suppliers must comply with strict legal requirements, and we also carry out on-site inspections. However, analysis results are internal information that we do not pass on to third parties. However, we can tell you that all measured values are well below the applicable EU limits - thank you for your understanding.
The SGE (Swiss Society for Nutrition) recommends 1 to 2 portions of fish of 100 to 120 grams per week from a health perspective. Among the fatty marine fish, smaller species such as herring, anchovy, sardine or mackerel are preferable to larger (predatory) fish such as salmon or tuna, as they are generally less contaminated with heavy metals than predatory fish. However, there is nothing to be said against eating salmon or tuna occasionally. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
