Good day
I have been looking for cocoa powder in various Migros stores in Zurich since last week - unfortunately without success. Why is it missing everywhere?
Hello M123M , thank you for your question. There are a few stores in Zurich with stock. Would you like to tell us more about where you searched in vain for the product? Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Migros Enge, Schmiede Wiedikon, Talwiese and Brunau!
Hi M123M, thanks for your message. There should be over 10 in stock everywhere. Brunaupark even has 22. Ask the staff the next time you visit. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Is the cocoa powder tested for harmful substances (e.g. As, Pb, Hg, Cd)? If so, what are the measured values?
Hello abc123456, thank you for your inquiry and for your patience. We have consulted with our specialist department and have the following information for you:
Due to the hazard analysis, neither the raw material cocoa powder nor the finished end product are analyzed for heavy metals. However, we require a completed raw material specification from every supplier.
The supplier of this cocoa powder guarantees us compliance with the maximum value of 0.60 mg/kg for cadmium - in accordance with EU 2023/915 for category 3.2.15.4 cocoa powder or as an ingredient in sweetened cocoa powder or chocolate powder (drinking chocolate) that is placed on the market for the end consumer.
There are no legal maximum levels for arsenic, lead and mercury, but they are not classified as a risk.
We hope this information is helpful for you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, the powder contains potassium carbonate. Am I right in assuming that this means that the cocoa powder has been alkalized?
Don't get me wrong: why do you need such information? Lg and sorry again
@ pr0tein because, depending on the recipe, the processing of the cocoa powder can influence the result when baking, e.g. in terms of texture
Hello rg_7, thank you for your inquiry. That is correct, the cocoa powder has been alkalized. Alkalization increases the solubility, softens the bitter-sour taste and enhances the flavour. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, is this cocoa powder weakly de-oiled or strongly de-oiled? I am planning to use it to make chocolate, so I would be very grateful for an answer. Thank you very much!
Hello SwissStar, thank you for your inquiry. This product is a lightly de-oiled cocoa powder. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

has lactose ?
Hello, is the cocoa powder sugar-free? In other words, without added sugar.
Yes, read the list of ingredients below
Hello dabinich, the Patissier cocoa powder contains no added sugar. It consists only of cocoa powder and the acidity regulator potassium carbonate (see list of ingredients). Best regards, your M-Infoline team

What percentage of cocoa is used?
Hello Ligrue, The main ingredient is cocoa powder. Unfortunately, we cannot give a more precise percentage. The potassium carbonate only serves to balance the acidity. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

How can you give the highest ecological rating (5 stars) to a product whose beans have crossed half the planet by the most polluting sea transport? "It's not by lying that you gain trust and credibility".
Hello Anti-manip, thank you very much for your question. The entire bakery products category was assessed in this case, resulting in an average value of 5 stars, calculated on all items. The climatic assessment covers the entire range. In other words, we are not comparing fruit with fruit, but fruit with meat or dairy products, for example. Emissions per product are calculated and indicated in CO2 equivalents. This means that emissions of all gases having an impact on the greenhouse effect are taken into account and converted into CO2. However, a CO2 balance has not been established for each of our products. Unfortunately, this is not possible with several tens of thousands of products. Therefore, for some items, emissions data are used at assortment sector level. You can find more information on this subject in the M-Check Questions & Answers section(https://corporate.migros.ch/fr/durabilite/produits-durables/conseils-astuces/m-check/climat.html). With kind regards, your M-Infoline team

The product is fine, but why is the new box almost half empty? There may be some packing, but how much? Would a bag reduce the packaging?
Hello dfavez, thank you for your question. The total height of the cocoa box is 10 cm, of which about 3 cm is empty space. From a technical point of view, we have to leave at least 2 cm of empty space, otherwise we can't fill the product properly. On the production line, we fill different products with different densities. As cocoa powder is very fine, the quantity to be filled is fixed during the filling process. If we were to fill more, we'd have to opt for a bigger box. Due to vibrations during transport on the production line, the cocoa condenses, so that the box may appear less full.
