Until a year ago, the 3:1 gelling agent was available in smaller stores (e.g. 8903 Birmensdorf), but now it has been replaced by one that requires 1:1 sugar and fruit, which is now only available in large stores - why is that? I almost stumbled over this FAKE, the jam would have been gone. Why has this product been replaced in the smaller stores? Very few customers will notice the difference and wonder why the jam won't gel!!!
Hello EugenR, thank you very much for your message. We are sorry that the gelling agent you are looking for is no longer available in your local Birmensdorf store. Due to the rather low demand, we have reclassified the product, which means that it is now only available in selected supermarkets. We don't make such adjustments lightly, but check them thoroughly before implementing them. Unfortunately, however, space on our shelves is limited, so we have to evaluate very carefully which items we offer where. You can check availability in your area by entering your zip code at https://www.migros.ch/en/product/109700100000. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
The answer about not selling enough is inappropriate. in Birmensdorf there was always only one gelling agent. but in large stores there are 2 gelling agents for jam: -in one a ratio of fruit to sugar of 3:1 is sufficient -in the other it needs 1:1, i.e. much more sugar to gel. in the small Birmensdorf store the 3:1 gelling agent has now been replaced by the 1:1 without comment. Many customers will be surprised that the jam does not gel because of too little sugar! Why this unnecessary change to the product range, which can only be discovered on closer inspection! Best regards EugenR

What is the exact content in grams of pectin alone in a 30-gram package (sachet) of product?
Good morning Cinzia1970, thank you very much for your inquiry. The exact amount of pectin is secret. However, this information is not relevant because different pectins gel differently.
Our product contains between 20 and 40 percent special pectin, which is suitable for low sugar content. The other ingredients are important for the success of the very low-sugar jam. Best regards, Your M-Infoline Team

Product description missing What is it? Agar agar? Gelatine? How do I use the product and for what?
Hello pincki, thank you for your question. It is a gelling agent for jellies and jams. The gelling power comes from pectin (plant-based). Here are some brief instructions on how to use it: to start with, put the fruit in a pan with the gelling agent. Once everything has come to the boil, you can then add the sugar and cook for a further three minutes. Then pour the finished product hot into the jars. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
