Our Christmas trees come mainly from Denmark and the Leibstadt region. These trees are not treated with herbicides. Insecticides can be used if necessary, but the pest infestation of Nordmann firs is very low and only necessary in exceptional cases. Only products that are also used in fruit and vegetable cultivation are used. Waxes, flavorings and dyes are not used. For this reason, the Christmas trees purchased at Migros Basel can also be fed without hesitation. Nevertheless, it should be ensured that there are no remains of candle wax or Christmas tree decorations left on the needles.
