The story with the Hot Sweet Chili Sauce is my very personal story with it: me. It all started ten years ago when I was studying at the ETH. We ate it with everything (preferably with croissants with half cream!) and I learned what it meant to be a MIGROS child... In the years after my studies, I started a small private export of MIGROS sauces abroad so that I would never be without them. Until I discovered - yay, so I thought - the MIGROS branch in Freiburg, Germany. There... No Hot Sweet Chili Sauce on the shelf, but all kinds of other products that a local MIGROS store had never seen before. Nothing was right. Customer service offered to get everything MIGROS-like. Except for: Hot Seet Chili Sauce - this was supposedly not allowed to be imported into Germany for food law reasons - so I had made myself liable to prosecution for years by illegally exporting it!? I think the customer offer was just a marketing stunt. Bad. It got too much for me - I moved back to Switzerland. Here I am, I can go to my MIGROS every day and fill up my bottle of Hot Sweet Chili Sauce when it's empty...
