I have been wondering for a long time whether the Monini Classico oil for Migros is bottled in Italy or in Switzerland? Thank you for the clarifying answer.
Hello Olis Thank you for your interest. The olive oil is bottled in Italy by Monini and then imported to Switzerland ready to use. We hope this will be of help to you and wish you lots of enjoyment. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Years ago I decided to buy MONINI Classico. I was surprised when I found it in Merano for half the price, namely EUR 4.99 per liter = about CHF 6, the smaller bottles accordingly. The labeling was exactly the same except for minor adjustments. It is well known that many things are disproportionately more expensive in Switzerland than abroad, e.g. magazines, which can be up to double the price, electrical appliances ... the list is long. I think 20-30% is really justified. I would like to know who - in the example of monini-oil - benefits from the remaining 70-80%? Many thanks and best regards - Christa Rosenau
Hello filou222 Thank you for your feedback. We are also aware of the price difference and we understand your uncertainty. The higher price for us - in addition to the known higher wage and storage costs etc. - is due to the following: Importing the product from Italy to Switzerland incurs additional costs. For the Monini oils sold in Migros, we can guarantee that they are made 100% from Italian olives. In other countries, the oils may be mixed with Spanish oil. Furthermore, the labels have to be printed in at least two national languages especially for Migros. This results in higher costs, but also added value. We hope this information has been helpful and wish you a happy new year 2015! Your M-Infoline team

At Migros, for example, the house olive oil of the Monini brand is usually Italian. "Because the Italian harvest has suffered particularly badly this year, Monini has decided to offer a blend of different European origins for two varieties - Classico and Delicato - in order to ensure quality," says spokeswoman Martina Bosshard. Monini also had to do this in the 2014/2015 harvest year. The blend consists of Spanish, Greek and Italian olive oil. http://www.derbund.ch/wirtschaft/jetzt-kommt-das-mischoel-weil-die-oilvenernte-miserabel-war/story/22307606

Super olive oil! However, I would be in favor of it being offered in a dark bottle like the large bottle in order to maintain the quality.
Dear guest
Thank you for your good input.
As it is a brand from a third party supplier, such points are defined by the manufacturer. However, we will be happy to take this point on board and pass it on to the person responsible.
See you soon in your Migros - we look forward to seeing you!
Best regards from the M-Infoline team
