I've been buying this rice for years. Mr Rice Jasmine Organic, online. But now I can only find a new package/new design online, cheaper, with no mention of organic anywhere. When I switch to the store view while still in the product view, I still see the old package at the old price. Which I don't really care about, since I'm not mobile and can only order online...
So what's the situation now? Is there only a non-organic version available for those of us who rely on online shopping? Or is some of the information incorrect?
Hello maoow, thank you for your message. We understand why the lack of an organic label on the packaging is causing confusion. We are happy to clarify the situation:
As part of a product range adjustment, we have switched Mister Rice rice products to conventional quality. The Mister Rice line will no longer be offered as organic in the future—existing remaining stock is still available in stores and will be sold.
At the same time, we are working on further expanding our range of organic rice products. This will take some time, so we ask for your patience. It is important to us to find a solution that satisfies our customers. We hope this information is helpful to you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Is this the CO2-reduced rice mentioned here? https://www.migros.ch/de/unternehmen/nachhaltigkeit/klima-energie/unsere-fortschritte/klimaneutralitaet/klimafreundlicher-reisanbau.html And if not, is it possible to buy CO2-reduced rice in the meantime?
Hello zukunftcom, the project does not relate to individual items, but to the fact that we support overarching projects that help us to offer a more climate-friendly range of rice. We generally pay attention to CO2-reduced rice in our range. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
And how can I support the project through my purchases? The rough expectation would be that the surcharge of around CHF 1 for M Classic jasmine rice ( https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/104402400000 ) would contribute to the project. But I'm not sure whether this is really the case.
Hello zukunftcom, thank you for your enquiry about our rice project and your interest in our climate protection efforts. The rice project you mentioned is financed by the M-Climate Fund. This fund is increased through the pricing of corporate emissions. This means that Migros offsets certain emissions, such as air transportation or store operations, with contributions to this fund. Accordingly, you as a customer cannot currently make a direct contribution to the project through the purchase price. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Thank you for your answer. I think that potential is not being exploited. If there was more differentiation within the product range, customers would have more opportunities to express their wishes. Among other things, I use the openfoodfacts.org app to find the most climate-friendly product. Unfortunately, in many cases it doesn't work that well yet. But the app is getting better and better.
