Can this product be classified as a microplastic? It seems difficult to me to handle without losing some in the used water pipe.
Thank you in advance 🙏
Hello Sankukai,
Thank you for your question about our Entkalkerharz product. We understand your concerns and would like to provide you with some clarification.
The resin beads used in our product are not classified as microplastics. Microplastics are generally plastic particles less than 5 millimeters in size, often resulting from the degradation of larger plastic objects.
We recognize that handling resin beads can be tricky. To minimize losses, we recommend using a funnel when filling and carefully following the instructions provided.
We hope this information answers your questions.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I agree with your definition of "microplastic", but could you tell me more about the composition of these resin beads? What do we mean by resin? Is it plastic or a non-polluting resin? If it's plastic, the packaging should specify that it absolutely must not end up in the drain.
Best regards
Hello Sankukai,
Thank you for your inquiry and for your interest in our products.
MioStar anti-scale resin is a synthetic ion exchanger.
The word "plastic" has been indicated on the packaging, as this is a synthetic resin which is not food-grade. It is intended for ironing only, due to the color indicator used.
We therefore recommend that you do not introduce undiluted granules or large quantities into the sewage system.
Wherever possible, we recommend that you dispose of the granules with your household waste.
Granules are harmless in small quantities (e.g. when the container is rinsed).
