Hello, since it is a glaze, is it correct that the wood grain remains visible? Is it like with other stains that I can do 1-3 coats depending on the color coverage I want? Thank you
Hello Movina Thank you for your question, yes, you are right. With permanent protective varnishes, the natural wood grain remains visible. 🌳 They are transparent or slightly tinted and do not completely cover the wood. This preserves the natural beauty of the wood while protecting it from the weather. As with other stains, you can apply 1-3 coats, depending on how much colour coverage you want and how much protection you need. 🖌️ A single coat emphasizes the wood grain and provides subtle protection, while multiple coats can provide stronger color coverage and more intense protection. Please remember to follow the manufacturer's instructions on the product packaging to ensure that the glaze is applied properly and the desired results are achieved. If you have any further questions, we are happy to help. Have fun painting! Your Migros specialist store team

Hello, I have just bought a permanent protective glaze and have now realized that it is "acrylic" and not "synthetic". What is the difference?
Hallo Picnic Acrylic Permanent Protective Stain is an acrylic-based wood protection stain. Acrylic glazes are characterized by their high weather resistance, UV resistance and durability. They offer effective protection against moisture, mold, UV rays and other environmental influences. Acrylic glazes are usually transparent or slightly tinted and are well-suited for protecting wood outdoors. In contrast, a synthetic permanent protective glaze refers to a wood protection glaze made from synthetic materials such as polyester or other man-made fibers. Synthetic glazes often offer similar benefits to acrylic glazes, but may be designed to have other specific properties such as elasticity, color fastness or durability. Overall, both acrylic and synthetic preservative glazes are designed to provide long-term protection and beauty to wood surfaces. The choice between the two depends on the specific requirements and preferences you have for your wood project. We hope we have been able to help you. Your Migros specialist store team

is there also a primer for permanent protective glaze? or is no primer needed at all (even on older wood, outside) Thank you
Hello Ponca, Thank you for your question. We're happy to inform you that you don't need a primer. Miocolor Long-Lasting Glaze does not require an additional primer. You can apply it directly to older wood, provided it is clean and dry. The Migros Specialized Markets Team

Good afternoon, we have just bought a container of permanent protective glaze and found that it is very thick and therefore less suitable for rough wooden posts with gaps that we want to protect from the weather. Is the Miocolor 2in1 impregnating glaze thinner and therefore more suitable?
Hello Chris_m Thank you for your inquiry. The permanent protective glaze is thixotropic, but becomes liquid during processing, so it is suitable for the process described. Kind regards, your Migros specialist store team

Hello. The permanent protective glaze now takes about 2 days to dry. The glaze was bought 2 years ago but only half of it was applied. The rest has become somewhat thicker in the meantime. Is it possible to add more solvent to shorten the drying time, and if so, which one? Many thanks for your help, regards Pedro
Hello ppedrocchi, thank you very much for your question. Unopened glazes generally have a shelf life of at least 24 months, so we recommend that you buy a new glaze. Your Migros specialist store team
