How long does the resin last approximately and how do you notice that it is no longer OK? Can the appliance be regenerated with salt water in the same way that domestic descaling systems or dishwashers regenerate their resin? How long does it take for a filling to go through?
Hello Flint4 Thank you for your feedback. The descaling resin II - 7177.255 lasts for approx. 8-10 liters, depending on the water hardness/lime content at the point of use. The color change takes place from blue-black to yellowish-brown, or from top to bottom. The throughput time is approx. 2-3 minutes. Once the resin is used up, i.e. yellowish-brown, it CANNOT be regenerated and must be disposed of in the household waste.
If you have had the bags at home for some time, the bags may appear thinner in appearance. As soon as the resin comes into contact with water again, a kind of activation takes place and the filter material returns to its original form. Why does the filter come loose when filling with water?
Hello lunamike, thank you for your inquiry. A filter sponge is used with this descaler. However, this should not come loose as the sponge should be covered with descaling resin.
