inaccurate instrument. I bought it for my child and the difference VS axillary thermometer is not linear. E.g., when healthy, it's giving 37.1 Vs 36.0, but when sick, it's reading 40.7 vs 38.1 (!!!). Except that 38.1 is "ok let's give him paracetamol" and 40.7 is "omg he's dying let's go to the hospital". I tested it on myself and there was the same issue of a non-constant discrepancy. Of course I strictly followed the instructions and the beeps that guide you to measure correctly.
I saw a similar comment 2 years ago. How come Migros is still selling this product? 30 CHF is not cheap either.
Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, we haven't had to use it since we bought it until last weekend. It's inaccurate, difficult to use, and poorly designed! You can only measure yourself in front of a mirror or window, as you have to see whether the blue light has stopped flashing. The button is very loud when pressed, which is unreasonable for small children. It is also inaccurate, deviating by up to two degrees within minutes.
Very unreliable. Pressing the button produces a loud clicking sound that is transmitted directly to the eardrum. Other thermometers have a soft-touch button.
Bad. It never marks the right temperature. It's always two degrees off. Since I no longer have the box, they won't take it back!
