Juice tastes very good, easy to clean
My new favorite kitchen appliance! This appliance has even exceeded my expectations! I absolutely cannot understand these negative reviews and am so glad that I bought the juicer anyway. I regularly make imunshots with fresh ginger and turmeric and various citrus fruits. Never before have I extracted so much juice so quickly, with so little noise and effort as I do today with this juicer! Washing up was child's play (despite the hard ginger and turmeric roots), almost just rinsing with hot water, only the sieve needs a little work with the (normal) washing-up brush - immediately after use of course, but that's probably logical! I'm super happy with my purchase! The only thing I'm annoyed about is that there's now a 33% promotion a week later and I could have got it for 50 Fr. less!
My comment is not very positive and is a sign of disappointment. In fact, too much of the pulp that has retained its moisture (apple and carrot for my tests) doesn't make it into the appropriate container and therefore remains in the machine. I remove it (by hand) during cleaning. I can also confirm that cleaning - even immediately after juice extraction - is neither easy nor quick. In short, the juice obtained is good since the goods introduced are, but the machine is hardly functional and I really wonder if it has been tested in a real situation. I'd like to point out that I followed all the instructions in the manual and only used the machine for personal use (a few deciliters of juice). What a shame!
Quality = sufficient😏 Motor block = 👍good Pressing screw = 👍stable and robust Pressing sieve = 👎👍probably won't last very long (I'll be surprised) Acrylic attachment =👎👎👎not very high quality, has clear signs of wear and micro-cracks after just a few uses. The opening for the pomace cannot be cleaned at all, fibers of the pressed material get stuck in the cracks and can never be completely removed, the supplied brush is not designed for this at all Pomace and juice container =👎👎👎👎 inferior quality (once knocked over and immediately shattered like thin glass) Cleaning brush =👎👎👎👎👎 absolute scrap, bristles get stuck in the holes of the press sieve and tear out immediately, you then have to pick them out of the sieve one by one with your fingers Conclusion: The appliance is usable but probably won't last 100 pressing cycles. Cleaning is a horror and takes several times as long as the pressing itself. If you want good quality, you will have to pay a little more. MioStar obviously no longer offers high quality.
I recently bought 2 different juicers, both of which are juicers that press instead of spin. The first juicer was the Huron H320N, a Korean manufacturer, at digitec for Fr. 478.- The appliance is convincing, has a 220 W drive and is quite well built. Even if the upper part tends to tilt a little with harder vegetables or fruit. Let's see how long it lasts and how many juices it can produce. The second appliance is the Mio Star Slow Juicer 150 G. A big BRAVO! This appliance is sensational. Compared to its big brother Haron, it only has 150 W and is perhaps a little smaller. But it is brilliant. You don't notice the difference in wattage at all. For just under CHF 200, you practically get a professional machine. The core part, also known as the auger, is better built than that of Haron. More solid Chromstal parts, practically indestructible. The nice thing about this juicer is that all the juice really flows out. Not so with the Korean. The Mio Star also does a better job of separating the leftovers. The auger also draws everything in very well. There is practically nothing left over in the filling area. Really a top machine. We've been using it for a few weeks now. Cleaning is also very easy. A tip: rinse all the parts immediately, even before you drizzle the juice. The small cleaning brush supplied with the Haron is better. The one from Migros looked like a 20-year-old toothbrush after brushing the sieve 2-3 times. I now buy myself a small brush, because without a brush it is not so easy to clean the sieve. If the sieve is not completely clean before it dries, the small holes get blocked and the juice doesn't run through easily.
Useful but not overwhelming !
I have already bought my second juicer. The new juicer is even better. Super happy.
Hello, Very good product that retains all the virtues of fruits and vegetables. Quiet and fast. The small negative point is the cleaning of all accessories is very tedious.
We bought the Mio Star 150 slow juicer at the beginning of January 2022. It has now been sitting unused in the kitchen for a few months. Why? There is probably something wrong with the separation of juice and pulp outlet. When we put in a pineapple or celery in small cubes, no more pomace comes out after a short time. This then "sticks" everywhere, especially in the sieve. Cleaning is therefore also very time-consuming. We cannot recommend the Slow Jucer.
«Most customers appreciate the Mio Star Slow Juicer for its efficiency and ability to extract juice quietly and effectively, often exceeding expectations. However, several reviews mention difficulties with cleaning and issues related to pulp separation, leading to frustrations about maintenance. Overall, the product receives a balanced rating, with both positive and negative sentiments expressed.»
