Why are there no cheaper changing mats at Migros? CHF 9.20 is expensive. At Coop (Prix Garantie) and Lidl/Aldi I can get them for CHF 4.00-5.00. So I don't think the previous reason is plausible.

The Milette changing mats cost €9.20 at dm in Germany and €1.65 in Germany. An insane price difference? How can such a price difference be justified? The Millette winter underpads were also manufactured in Europe.... (and not in Switzerland)? A price between 2-4 would still be manageable somehow, but not in this size?

The higher price is due to various reasons. Simply due to the small-scale structures, the higher cost of living and the high wage level, we generally have a much higher price level in Switzerland than abroad. One of the most important drivers for the price is the procurement volume, which is much lower for Migros in Switzerland than for retailers in neighbouring countries due to the smaller population.
