You'll have to get used to the new lids, which will be mandatory on all PET bottles across Europe from mid-2024 to prevent environmental pollution from loose lids.

As part of its circular economy package, the EU has also adopted a plastics strategy which, among other things, regulates single-use plastics. In addition to the ban on single-use plastic items, such as plastic drinking straws and plastic stirrers, drinks containers are also being targeted. The new EU regulation stipulates that the caps must remain attached to the bottles even when they are open. @M-Infoline - I don't really care about the EU "circular economy package". I've always returned the caps screwed on to the empty PET bottle. Without exception. But with this new attachment, the lid is constantly in the way, you spill the contents and the attachment gets in the way when drinking directly from the bottle. When will there be "workarounds" for this?

If you get 30 centimes for 1 kg of plastic lid, according to my calculation for 1 ton (1,000 x 30 centimes) = 300 francs. So for 6 tons 6 x 300 francs, that's 1,800 francs. A far cry from your 60,000 francs. Only with 200 tons of PET plastic lids would you get to the 60,000 francs mentioned. So which value is wrong?

Until recently, the M-Budget sparkling mineral water always tasted great. Unfortunately, this has not been the case for a few days now. The newly opened bottles are no longer highly carbonated and taste as if they have been open for 2 days or longer! Why? Too bad, I won't be buying it again.

When the bottle is opened, a large amount of it escapes so that the stored bottle can hardly have any carbon dioxide left. The new design of the 1.5 liter bottle is nonsense! The recess has been placed further down. If you hold the bottle by the recess and try to pour water, the bottle will tip over at some point. If you're not careful, everything spills out. It is much less stable than the old shape.

To increase sustainability, the PET weight of the M-Budget mineral water bottles has been reduced. The new PET bottle shapes now weigh 31 g instead of 34.8 g. As a result of this change, the bottle is slightly higher than the previous bottle. As we unfortunately have no influence on this process and consider the ecological aspect to be very important, the bottle will not be changed. The bottle shape was found to be easy to handle in the tests.

I completely agree with corueegg and couldn't put it better what my wife and I find so annoying about the new bottle.
Sustainability and weight reduction are all well and good, but in my opinion the bottle is an imposition on us consumers. I would ask Migros Ingenieure to make a little more effort to restore the old stability even with the reduced weight! Thank you very much.

In order to guarantee the supply of water in sufficient quality and quantity, the catchment systems of the springs originally used for the M-Budget brand (Aven springs), which date back to the early 1960s, had to be renewed. A new source was therefore created in line with the best production practices. The new Saphir source is of excellent quality and is very similar to the Aven sources.

The new label states "Aerated/Aerée". As natural water contains iron, which precipitates on contact with air, the water must be aerated and filtered. Oxygen is added to the water to reduce excessive iron content, as otherwise iron could later precipitate in the bottle. The iron only needs to be removed for aesthetic reasons. This process is permitted under Swiss law and is also customary.

In today's k-tipp it says that the M-Budget mineral water source is located in Vétroz (VS), and has a uranium content of 7.8 micrograms / liter!!! Out of 25 tested waters, it is therefore in 4th last place! And again as a reminder: In Germany, mineral water advertised for infant formula may contain a maximum of 2 micrograms of uranium per liter.
For all of us who want to switch to healthy water: "Appenzell" water from Gontenbad (AI) scored best with less than 0.1 micrograms per liter.

In order to guarantee the supply of water in sufficient quality and quantity, the catchment systems of the springs originally used for the M-Budget brand (Aven springs), which date back to the early 1960s, had to be renewed. A new source was therefore created in line with the best production practices. The new Saphir source is of excellent quality and is very similar to the Aven sources.
The Aven springs and the Saphir spring are similar both in their overall mineralization and in their main minerals. In addition, there is no discernible difference in taste between the two natural mineral waters:

The new label states "Aerated/Aerée". As natural water contains iron, which precipitates on contact with air, the water must be aerated and filtered. Oxygen is added to the water to reduce excessive iron content, as otherwise iron could later precipitate in the bottle. The iron only needs to be removed for aesthetic reasons. This process is permitted under Swiss law and is also customary.
We regret that you do not like the water from the new Saphir spring and will take it up with us.

In today's k-tipp it says that the M-Budget mineral water source is located in Vétroz (VS), and has a uranium content of 7.8 micrograms / liter!!! Out of 25 tested waters, it is therefore in 4th last place! And again as a reminder: In Germany, mineral water advertised for infant formula may contain a maximum of 2 micrograms of uranium per liter.
For all of us who want to switch to healthy water: "Appenzell" water from Gontenbad (AI) scored best with less than 0.1 micrograms per liter.
