I just opened the sponges and they were damp :/ Why?
Hello Micha88, Cellulose sponges usually have a slight residual moisture content, even when packaged. This moisture is necessary to maintain the sponge's flexibility and protect it from drying out and becoming brittle. The moisture also prevents the sponge from becoming brittle and losing its functionality. If the sponge is completely dry, it may be harder when first used and must first be moistened with water to regain its full elasticity. But the moisture is only minimal. Many thanks for the detailed information!
