Why do organic onions rot so quickly?

The shelf life depends on various factors - soil, onion variety, fertilization, weather, etc. We are happy to give you some tips on storing onions: As a rule, it is sufficient to store the onions in a cool, dark and dry place. Why does this product cost 3.20.- at Le store instead of the 2.10.- mentioned? I always thought the prices were the same.
