Why has this product not been available for some time? And when will it be available again? In the meantime, I unfortunately have to stock up on oat flakes from the competition.

Hello hugorossi, we have a procurement bottleneck here and this has resulted in a delivery interruption. We should probably receive the item again from 17.06.2022. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Very annoying! As the product is not available in Goldau and Steinhausen, for example, while the shelves are still full in the Zurich area!

Hello hugorossi, the supply interruption is over and the stores are slowly being restocked - this process is taking a moment. According to the online inventory, the stores in Steinhausen already have full shelves again. You can check the stock here. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, are the oat flakes treated with steam during production? If so, are there oat flakes in the Migros range that are produced without steam treatment? Kind regards

Hello Pokku, yes, all our rolled oats are treated with steam during production. In addition, the oats are kiln-dried before hulling. These two heat treatments give the oats their typical taste, reduce the natural bitterness and extend the shelf life by inactivating fat-splitting enzymes. The steam treatment before flaking makes the oat kernel malleable; without it, the oat kernels would break during flaking, resulting in more broken oats instead of rolled oats. Hi, which country do the oat flakes come from?

Hello rialina6, thank you for your request. It has taken some time to process your request. We are sorry that we are only getting back to you now. We produce the organic wholemeal oat flakes in Switzerland and also fill them here. We source the raw oats from Europe, mainly from Germany or Austria. You will find the country of origin on the bag, directly below the best-before date. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Salü Rialina Very good question, I would have been surprised too! Migros only buys goods from countries where they are produced most cheaply, e.g. gherkins from India etc. ... and China! And China!!! Still supporting the dictator (president)!

These products, organic wholemeal oat flakes are: very digestible, very healthy, good to eat, e.g. for muesli, oatmeal soup, mixed with milk for in between meals, etc. Thank you very much for this review. Kind regards.

Food law stipulates that the origin must also be declared in online retail (i.e. LeShop). This is not the case with this product.

Hello I have known this product for a very long time as a staple in my breakfast. Weekly consumption in the family: 2-3 kg. I bought it when it still cost 1.-, went along with price increases up to 1.30 and was always delighted when the price was lowered again. N.b. the other big store was always about 3 weeks and 5 centimes behind. Now my question: the oats have always come from Germany or Austria for several years. Why did the lower euro exchange rate not result in a reduction in price this time? Stocks have probably been slowly replenished since the beginning of the year. Kind regards

Hello zaemme Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to answer your question about the price of the organic wholemeal oat flakes. The effect of the lower euro exchange rate has not led to lower procurement costs and therefore lower sales prices for all items. The reasons for this include the following: Procurement takes place in Switzerland, in Swiss francs, and no or only very marginal savings could be made at the supplier. On the other hand, the price of raw materials has increased at the same time. We have bundled all the savings we have made and passed them on to our customers in the form of relevant price reductions on selected cereal products. Nevertheless, we hope that you and your family will continue to enjoy oat flakes for breakfast and wish you a good time. Best wishes from the M-Infoline team
