hi, is the product gluten free? There is info that it may include gluten neither that it is fluten-free.
Hello glutenfreeg, the Bio tofu does not contain gluten-containing ingredients, nor must be expected any carryover. If a product contains gluten-containing ingredients, this must be openly declared, naming the gluten-containing grains (wheat, spelt, rye, barley, oats, etc.). In addition, ingredients containing gluten must be specially highlighted in the list of ingredients, for example, in bold print or with capital letters (examples: wheat starch, WHEAT flour). Traces due to possible carry-over in the manufacturing process must be indicated at the end of the list of ingredients with a may-contain note («Kann Gluten enthalten» (may contain gluten) or «kann Spuren von Gluten enthalten» (may contain traces of gluten)). Unfortunately, the product did not enjoy widespread popularity, which is why we decided to remove it from the range in those regions where demand was low.
