I think the price for organic tomatoes is very high (CHF 8.40/kg). I would therefore be interested to know whether the producers also receive around twice as much as for conventional tomatoes.

Hello PeterMunz, the price of CHF 8.90 is correct. The production of organic products is massively more expensive than that of conventional products. There is a lot of manual labor involved, the yield is lower and the cost of organic pesticides is higher - all of which affects the price. Migros strives to offer good value for money, but organic products will always be more expensive than conventional products. As of today, the price is CHF 8.40 per kilogram.
