Is it really the case that Migros doesn't have any peppermint tea at the moment 😢

Hello Dragonball, thank you for your inquiry. The tea is still available. You can check availability in your area at the following link: https://www.migros.ch/de/product/107064100000. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello M-Infoline, Thank you for your quick reply. I understand your confidentiality policy regarding your suppliers.
However, you mention that the production, transport and packaging of one kilogram of tea generates about the same amount of CO2 as driving 21 km in a car. Can you be more transparent about this? I'd like to understand how these figures are calculated and what specific aspects are taken into account. Best regards, Teabag1800

Hello Teabag1800, Thank you for your feedback and understanding. Regarding the M-Check assessment, the published data refer to life cycle analyses. Further information on this subject can be found here. We hope you find these explanations satisfactory. Sincerely, your M-Infoline team

Is the tea bag compostable?
Hello Mikaaa, thank you for your inquiry. The tea bag consists of tea, paper and cotton materials. We use natural materials for the tea filter paper. The main components are cellulose and abaca fibers. The thread material is pure untreated cotton and the label is made of paper. The tea bags can therefore be disposed of in organic waste or garden compost. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I accidentally reached into the wrong shelf space and picked up this tea.
The aroma itself is really very fine, although not quite as intense because it's organic (but that doesn't bother me).
What is annoying, however, are the really miserable tea bags. Before the tea is even drinkable, the bags lose so much herb that it clearly covers the bottom of the cup. If you stir, so much comes out that the bottom disappears completely under the herbs. I don't know if I just got an unfortunate batch, but in my opinion this is not at all possible with bagged tea, as the bag completely defeats the purpose of selling the tea in a spice shaker.

Dear guest
Thank you for your valuable feedback.
This should not be the case. Can you please provide us with the M-date (sell by, use by) and the batch number of your tea? This will allow us to check our retained samples and production records.
Thank you in advance and have a nice rest of the week, your M-Infoline Team

Is it possible to read this data from the paper packets somewhere? Unfortunately, the box has already been thrown away.

Why does every bag have to be individually wrapped in plastic?
Dear guest
Thank you for your feedback.
The individual packaging of the tea bags is necessary to protect the aroma. However, we can assure you that this packaging is made from 100% wood pulp.
We hope this helps you and wish you a pleasant day. Your M-Infoline Team

Fresh mint tastes better, but it's very good for a bagged tea.
How is the BIO label defined?

Thank you for your Migipedia contribution. We are happy to provide you with information about organic tea:
The organic articles are raw material qualities that have been produced on farms. These farms are subject to inspection in accordance with EU Regulation 2092/91 on organic farming.
Corresponding test certificates are available for the individual raw materials. These are part of the production documentation. All raw materials are produced specifically for the intended use of our teas on the basis of long-term contracts. In accordance with the EU regulation on organic cultivation, chemical pesticides are not used in agricultural production.
Harvest yields from controlled organic cultivation without the use of artificial fertilizers are 50% or more lower than those from conventional cultivation. Weeding must be carried out by workers (weeds are pulled out or removed mechanically), which contributes significantly to the cost increase.
The organic inspection body demands complete proof of the individual batches right up to cultivation. By buying organic, the consumer buys a product that can be traced back to its "roots". Avoiding the use of chemicals leads to very low levels of pesticides, but not necessarily to complete freedom from contamination, as harmful substances can also be present in traces in the rain or soil, for example.

Hello Infoline,
Thank you for the detailed explanation :-)
I have already found something on the Migros website. Perhaps this page could also be linked to the brief explanation of the labels on Migipedie?
