Hello, dear Migros team. For nutritional reasons, it is important to me that my yoghurt is "alive", i.e. not pasteurized. Is that the case here? (And: Can I look this up somewhere for other yoghurt products from you?) Thank you!
Hello gregr, thank you for your question. When you buy yoghurt, the lactic acid bacteria it contains are always alive and present in large numbers. Yoghurt is made by fermenting pasteurized milk with lactic acid bacteria (e.g. Lactobacillus delbrueckii spp: Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp. bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus). The final product must contain a total of at least 10 million colony-forming (living) units of the above-mentioned microorganisms (according to: FDHA Ordinance on Foodstuffs of Animal Origin, Art. 46) The milk used to make yoghurt is pasteurized for hygienic reasons. However, this happens beforehand and has no influence on the bacteria. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear Migros people, I wanted to ask how long you can keep the pack open?
Hello Egli191, thank you for your inquiry. The best-before date printed on the packaging only applies to packaging that is still sealed, i.e. it no longer applies once the packaging has been opened. The question of how long the contents of an opened pack can still be consumed is difficult to answer. The shelf life not only varies from product to product, but also depends on how the product is stored or handled after opening. Storage in a correctly set refrigerator is also crucial. Due to these various influencing factors, it is not possible to set best-before dates for products that have already been opened.
We recommend that you make a decision based on your sensory impression, i.e. try the product. Spoilage is usually easy to recognize (by sight and/or taste // smell). Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why should cups and lids be thrown away? There is a recycling sign PP on the bottom...
Hello Sudoka, thank you for your post. The triangle symbols, also known as recycling codes, suggest to our customers that the cup can be recycled. However, this is not the case - they only indicate the properties of the packaging, but not whether an actual recycling and collection system exists in Switzerland. The packaging of this yoghurt must therefore be disposed of in the garbage bag. However, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that the waste regulations of the municipality where you live are always decisive for the correct separation and disposal of waste. There are now several municipalities that offer separate plastic collection. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
