Why is the melon wrapped in (plastic?) tape that still contains glue? On the one hand this is not very ecological, on the other hand I would like to avoid toxins when buying organic products, but then I have this unnecessary glue.

Hello Persi Thank you for your interest. We also sell the organic Charentais melons in conventional quality. To avoid any confusion, we label the organic melons with a banderole - or pack them away completely. Don't worry, the glue is approved for food and is not harmful. Kind regards from your M-Infoline team

Hello Unfortunately, "wonderful" fur cultures regularly form under the plastic adhesive tape. I don't think this is what the inventor intended.

Hello judacum, thank you very much for your tip. You are correct in your assumption: it is certainly not in our interest for fungi to form under the band. There are many reasons for this. For example, if the melon is stored for too long, moisture builds up under the band, which causes the irregularities you describe. However, it is also possible that juice has leaked out. To ensure impeccable quality, we carry out numerous checks at various points along the entire value chain. We sort out those specimens that do not meet our criteria. We are sorry that our safety precautions did not allow us to detect such deviations in good time. As an immediate measure, we are streamlining the tests. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Of course, you have the option of returning goods whose quality you are not satisfied with to the place of purchase. You will receive a replacement or a refund on site. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
