Hello Migipediateam, Ouch! Unfortunately I had 2 stones in a pack of lenses. Does this happen often?
Hello TobiasVersteeg, thank you very much for your message. We are extremely sorry that something like this could happen. We hope that you discovered the stones in time. We would like to clarify your case further. Could you use the contact form to let us know the LOT number and best-before date? With this information, we can check whether this was an isolated case. Why is the weight 263 g (as with the chickpeas), but the label says 500 g? The non-organic lentils say 500 g, and that's how many are inside! Unfortunately I can't attach a photo. MeG W. Tobler (With disappointed greetings)
Hello Griggle, unfortunately we can't understand your concern. However, it is important for us to be able to investigate the underweight. Please contact us with photos and the product data (production number and best-before date) by sending an email to migros@m-infoline.ch. Thank you and best regards, your M-Infoline team
Apparently the problem is still there. 300g weighed instead of the 500g brand.
Hello bonnetc, Unfortunately, we don't really understand your request. However, it is important for us to be able to clarify the weight difference. Please contact us with photos and product data (production number and expiration date) by e-mail to migros@m-infoline.ch. Please also keep the sample. Do I have to wash the green lentils (organic 500 g) before use?
Hello Primerose, the lentils should be rinsed briefly before cooking to wash out any foreign bodies. However, you do not need to soak them. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

What is the shelf life of the product once purchased?
Hi Chris.Diaz, thank you very much for your question. Lentils can easily be used for a few months beyond the expiry date. From a health point of view, consuming food beyond the expiration date is usually risk-free if it has been properly stored. However, in the event of prolonged storage, a loss of quality is to be expected. We hope we've answered your question and wish you a good day. your M-Infoline team

Negative effects recognized by the scientific community and not debatable. Respect for the environment: surface area required to grow fodder. Energy consumption for production and transport. Is the environment polluted by wastewater emissions? Is there any deforestation to grow this product? Pollutants emitted into the soil, water and air. Transport, Processing, Distribution: origin of product. Means of transport used. Prevention of food waste: shelf life of the product once purchased. Financial aspects: price per 100 grams of protein (this is what we're asking for in our group work on organic lentils). Thank you in advance for your response.
Hello Marc017, Thank you very much for your request. The law requires every organic supplier to be audited at least once a year by a certified body. The supplier must then present us with a certificate. We also agree specifications with each producer. On receipt of the goods, we check the various parameters and, if the goods do not meet the established specifications, we reject the load concerned. This enables us to guarantee consistent quality and compliance with organic standards. The goods are transported to Switzerland by ship, then by train and/or truck. Origin varies according to availability, but is always indicated on the packaging. Preventing food waste is very important to us. We do our utmost to avoid producing any surplus. We hope you find this information useful. Your M-Infoline team

Do these lenses still come from Canada?
Hello anitscha, the organic green lentils come mainly from Canada and partly from France. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Can't the lenses be sourced locally like the competition? I don't like it when products travel halfway around the world.
Hello anitscha, thank you for your inquiry. Our organic green lentils come mainly from France with a small proportion from Canada. The organic lentils from Coop come from Canada. The reason for the Canadian origin is the large quantities required by Migros. We are unable to obtain these in organic quality on the domestic market. France is a sensible alternative for us. If the total quantity cannot be procured in France, we have to switch to Canada. Do you have any other questions? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

What Migros says is not true... I have just looked at the organic lentil packaging in a Coop today and can confirm that the green lentils come from France and the brown lentils from Austria!
Hello gruenelinsen, thank you for your feedback. We got our information from coop@home. For more detailed information, you would need to contact Coop directly, as we are unfortunately unable to comment on this. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
