Why is the sugar content of 4.5 % declared to be the same as the carbohydrate content? Does this mean that it is lactose-free or at least should contain less than 0.1 %? Incidentally, this question applies to all yogurts.

Hello andre009, "of which sugar" in the nutritional information does not only include added granulated sugar, but all types of sugar contained in a product - including those that occur naturally in fruit (fructose and glucose) or milk (lactose), for example. Whether sugar (or another sweetening food) has been added can be seen from the list of ingredients. Example: The natural yoghurt you mentioned contains no added sugar according to the list of ingredients, but the nutritional table shows a sugar content of 4.5g / 100g. This is exclusively lactose. Strawberry yoghurt has a higher sugar content in the nutritional table, for example 11g / 100g. This is not only lactose, but also natural sugars from the strawberries and added granulated sugar. This can be seen from the list of ingredients. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why do the plastic lids of yogurts have this structure?

Hello andikarrer, thank you for your question. This is what is known as embossing, or in this case dot embossing. This fulfills various functions: On the one hand, it has a technical function, such as ensuring good flatness (lying flat) or giving the die-cut (lid) additional stability. It also fulfills the function of easily separating the lid from a stack, otherwise the lids would stick together. Best regards, Chloe your M-Infoline team

Hello, Unfortunately, since the packaging/label changeover for organic yogurts, I have found it extremely difficult to distinguish between the different types of yogurt. Especially at home, I don't have as much space in the fridge as you do in the store, so I can reserve a separate compartment for each variety. This means that the fridge door is open for longer, which leads to more energy consumption. Or I have to put on extra reading glasses, e.g. natural, banana, lemon is difficult to distinguish, hazelnut, cherry, strawberry and also coffee, chocolate is difficult to distinguish in low light. It was much better before. The difference in color is greater due to the lighter background. How do blind people actually recognize this? In view of the fact that macular degeneration is increasing due to today's bright LED light, perhaps notch coding on the edge or cardboard of the cups could also be considered. In general, the lettering on labels is also so small that it is often very difficult to read even with glasses (font height 1mm-1.5mm!) although there would be enough space. The date of the promotion is also minimal on the promotion boards in the store, although there would be enough space. Why is no attention paid to better recognition, differentiation of the product and legibility of the fonts in general?

Hello AndreasBuser, thank you very much for your message. First of all, we are pleased that you like the products. We are all the more sorry that the new design is causing you problems. We have changed the packaging to make it easier to distinguish the organic yogurts from the conventional products. We understand that the different varieties are difficult to recognize when stored in the fridge. We are happy to take your feedback as an opportunity to rethink our design and adapt it if necessary. Please note that our options in terms of font size are largely limited due to the limited space available in the cups. Nevertheless, we will try to take the points you have raised into account in the next revision and make the products more consumer-friendly. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Incidentally, the barcode is in a white field, as the reading devices apparently also need better contrast... Is there no regulation as to how large fonts and the minimum contrast to the background must be in order to be considered legible by humans?

@AndreasBuser See FDHA Ordinance on Food Information (FIO) Chapter 2: Mandatory food information 1. section: Content and presentation Art. 3 Mandatory information https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/cc/2017/158/de#chap_2 Best regardsFrederica

Thank you Frederica It says "easy to read" min. 1.2mm. Unfortunately it doesn't say anything about contrast. My best friend thinks I should buy larger 500g cups ;-) Or use a felt-tip pen to draw large N, B, K, or H. There are always solutions.

Hello AndreasBuser, what a sympathetic approach. In fact, there are no legal regulations regarding contrasts. However, we try to ensure optimal legibility in our designs, which unfortunately we have not fully succeeded in doing. Your feedback has been placed with us. We ask for your patience. Dear Migros, I would like to know which lactic acid microorganisms (bacterial strains) you use to make yoghurt from the milk ingredients by fermentation. So far I have not been able to find out anything like this. Thank you very much for the information.

Hello Kritischgeniesser, thank you for your interest in our product. This yoghurt is acidified by the addition of a lactic acid bacteria culture. This culture is produced in accordance with legal requirements by fermenting milk with the microorganisms Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp. bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus. Hello The yoghurt has tasted different for a few weeks now - have you changed anything in the recipe? Thank you for your feedback. MFG

Hello Lohefa, we have not changed anything in the recipe. If you notice a change in taste again, please send an email to m-infoline@migros.ch with your findings, the batch number (letters and numbers mixed) and the best-before date. The supplier can then check the production batch in question. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
