Please only sell dates from Tunisia or other Arab countries during Ramadan. I always see huge baskets of dates from Israel in Migros during Ramadan. They know full well that Muslims break their fast with dates. Were they not aware of this or don't they care about selling Israeli dates to Muslims? Why don't they at least put up an Israeli flag? Muslims are in solidarity with the Palestinians and don't want to support the occupiers
Quel est le pays d'origine de ces dattes ?
Hello voilier211. The dates come from Tunisia. Sincerely, your M-Infoline team

Are the organic dates frozen at some point during the production process? What about the other organic dried fruits? Thank you in advance for answering this question!
Hello xXxXxXx Thank you for your contribution. We are happy to inform you that the organic Max Havelaar dates are deep-frozen during the production process. The same applies to organic figs. However, other organic dried fruits such as apricots, cranberries, raisins or pineapples are not frozen. We hope our answer is helpful for you and look forward to your next visit. Kind regards from the M-Infoline team

Grüezi, I wanted to ask if these dates on the date plantation are wrapped with such "plastic bags" so that they cannot be infested by small animals? Thank you!
Hello Fairtrader Thank you for taking the time to write to us. We are sorry for the long wait - please accept our apologies. Our small farmers use these yellow plastic covers to protect the dates from insects. However, not all farmers do, as these covers are still relatively expensive. We hope that this information has helped you and wish you a nice, sunny day. Best wishes from the M-Infoline team

Dear M- Infoline Team
Unfortunately, this statement does not apply at all. I don't know if you have had the opportunity to taste these dates yourself. At the time I wrote the article, I had not yet had the pleasure of trying them. In the meantime, however, I have and they really are much drier than their stone predecessors. The cut surface in particular is very dried out. Sometimes you can break the date by hand... Could it be that this is because the stone has been removed? Is it possible that the M- Infoline team have never eaten these dates themselves? Or is it possible that the dates in my store are much drier than in theirs? Or that they are simply writing some "nonsense" to "reassure" customers? What exactly is this Migipedia page for? To praise Migros and its products to the skies? Or to examine criticism and make changes if necessary?
So that I receive an answer to my comment from you, M- Infoline Team, I will also enter this text as a new comment.

But you pass on the comment.
Isn't that unsatisfactory? You are dry dates and say that "the experts" say that they are NOT drier...

Guest
What is particularly dry about these dates is the cut surface. And this is not due to the weather.
Hello Flurina82
The harder dates are used for pitting. As already mentioned in the first comment, dates are generally harder due to environmental influences. The consistency of the dates is not related to the fact that they are pitted.

Unfortunately, this product is no longer available, at least in our store, which is very unfortunate. The organic dates are now available without stones, which is not good in terms of quality. They dry out much faster this way.
Hello Flurina82
Due to increased demand from our customers, we have decided to offer the organic dates without a stone.
In principle, dates without stones are not noticeably drier than those with stones. However, this year's organic Deglet Nour dates from Tunisia are slightly drier and somewhat firmer to the bite compared to last year; this is due to weather-related influences (less rain, especially in the later phase or in the weeks before the harvest).
We wish you happy holidays and a happy new year 2011. best wishes.
Your M-Infoline Team
