Why is only the M-Classic puff pastry without palm oil and organic but not/not yet?
Hello ADP, thank you for your message. The organic puff pastry currently contains certified organic palm oil (RSPO). The conventional doughs are already palm oil-free. The implementation in organic dough is not permitted according to the organic regulation. In order to produce margarine without palm, oils (such as sunflower oil) must be completely hydrogenated. This is not permitted for organic products. This leaves only palm. Replacing margarine "simply" with organic butter would have a massive impact on the price. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hi. I wanted to let you know that I noticed that you have changed the packaging to this puff pastry , even the price increase did not go unnoticed by me, but the thing that was most noticeable is the deterioration in quality ! The puff pastry cannot be processed ! As soon as it comes out of the refrigerator , it takes time to open the package that immediately the product becomes sticky ! If I have to go to another store to buy puff pastry I end up doing all my shopping in that store for convenience reasons ! Maybe it is rolled out thinner that's why it heats up immediately , and then you never sell it on offer ! I will probably never buy it again ! What exactly did you change ?
Hi Francy-71, thank you for your message. We are sorry that the puff pastry does not satisfy you. However, we can assure you that the recipe has not been modified. Since this is an organic pastry, we have not eliminated the tropical fats either. Therefore the recipe for this pastry has been unchanged for years. Only the layout of the package has changed. When temperatures rise in summer it can happen that the pasta heats up and loses consistency faster, thus becoming more difficult to process. A long interruption in the cold chain can also make the dough sticky and difficult to work with. If this happens to you again, contact us through the form provided telling us the lot number and expiration date. Please also attach photos. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The package contains a piece of paper. Is this baking paper for use in the oven? How hot can it get?
Hi pebremi, thank you for your question. Yes, this is baking paper and can of course be used in the oven. As we provide baking instructions, the paper can be heated as indicated on the baking instructions. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

Why is the organic puff pastry made with vegetable margarine? If I want to eat healthily and am already buying an organic product, surely it should contain butter?
Hi Joe, thanks for your question. Making organic puff pastry without organic butter also has a price component. Swiss organic butter is three times as expensive as the certified organic palm oil that is currently used in organic puff pastry. A changeover would make the dough almost 80% more expensive. An alternative would be our Anna's Best butter puff pastry with 100% Swiss butter - but this is not an organic product. Best regards, Your M-Infoline Team

Why don't you find this dough rolled out into a round shape? It's so handy for filling round tart trays.
Dear Rose40 Thank you very much for your message, which we are happy to pass on to our pastry fairies so that they can study your suggestion for a puff pastry in a rounded shape. We can't make any promises, but you can knead the dough and roll it out into a new shape. Best regards Dein M-Infoline Team
And why a rectangular shape that doesn't fit a standard baking tray?

Is this dough vegan? Unfortunately I can't find a note anywhere...
Dear phil_lischer The ingredients used are vegan. However, possible contamination with milk and eggs cannot be completely ruled out. For this reason, you will also find a corresponding trace note on the packaging ("may contain milk, eggs, ..."). Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why doesn't this puff pastry already exist rolled out in the round? Too bad
Hi Rose40, Thank you very much for your inquiry. The round shape of the pasta was initially protected by Nestlé. That's why Migros and Jowa opted for an octagonal shape. In the meantime, the octagonal shape has proved its worth and our production machines have been designed with it in mind. We trust you will understand, and send you our warmest regards. Why are there palm-style vegetable oils (which are bad for the arteries) in an organic product? At least make it with butter.

Guest
I couldn't agree more!!!
Use butter instead of vegetable oil !!!

As a leading consumer goods company, Migros should keep products containing palm oil to a minimum. And replace it with another vegetable oil.
Better still, it should set an example by indicating on its packaging which products contain palm oil.
This is not always the case, as Swiss legislation does not require it. Vegetable oil" is permitted for both soya and palm oil. So consumers can't control what they eat, and that's a shame.
This is a "hot" topic at the moment, from an ethical, ecological and health point of view.
Hello
Thank you very much for your contribution!
We try to use butter whenever possible, for taste reasons. For reasons of price and availability, this is not always possible. What's more, like all fats, butter doesn't only have beneficial health properties.
Not all oils have the same properties. In other words, not all vegetable oils and fats are equally well suited to the manufacture of products. Palm oil is also an important source of income for producing countries, and boycotting it would be detrimental to their development, and would primarily affect the weakest members of society, i.e. the people who work on the farms. That's why we focus on sustainable palm oil, i.e. oil produced according to very strict guidelines, which are strictly monitored. These production methods prohibit the destruction of additional forest areas, and set very high standards in terms of cultivation methods and social conditions.
Best regards,

And why shouldn't the people who work in the fields be able to grow something that's better for their health? All you have to do is buy it from them, right?
