Bought about a week ago. Transplanted into a clay pot so that it can come out of the plastic. Used extra organic herb soil.
And now it's already broken. It can't be that I buy extra organic herbs and have to throw them in the compost after a week. I would like my money back.
Hello question mark
We are sorry that you are not satisfied with the basil.
We will be happy to forward your request to the responsible cooperative. In which store did you buy the basil?
Thank you very much for your feedback.

I have also bought 3 such pots in Bern. Unfortunately, they all died after 1-2 weeks. A more resistant plant would be a great idea.
But money back is really not necessary at such a low price. After all, the first harvest was totally delicious.
So it's not me after all... I returned the first pot to the store after 24 hours, as half the plants were already dying. The second looked better, but after a week the most tender shoots had also died (stems turned brown or collapsed somewhere in the middle). After nurturing and removing the diseased shoots every day, I managed to get the stronger plants through, but I've never had such a fuss before. Every spring, I buy a pot from various suppliers, for the first and last time from Migros...

Always goes perfectly with tomatoes and mozzarella. Don't forget a good olive oil, of course.
However, I always have a bit of a problem with basil. It often dies over time, even though I give it enough water and make sure it is in a bright place. Does anyone have any tips on how it can "survive" longer?
Hi Matz, maybe you should give your basil some organic fertilizer from time to time. I can recommend this one: http://www.doit-garden-migros.ch/g3.cms/s_page/713010/s_level/5012500/s_product/6582.260
Maybe it's also because the basil doesn't get enough sunlight indoors in winter? If you have an LED lamp, perhaps you can place your plant underneath it at some distance in the dark (evening) hours?
Kind regards, "Twilight"
Hello guest
Thank you for your patience. The clarifications regarding the organic basil have shown that it needs bright daylight and warmth for optimal growth, and the basil should always be moist, but not too wet. Then you can always pick fresh basil in the kitchen for salads, etc.
Unfortunately, daylight is a problem, especially in the winter months. As the days are rather dark and short, the basil suffers from the weak daylight. If the plants are kept in a warm kitchen and have enough water, the shoots grow, but the lack of light causes the plants to turn yellow and grow poorly.
Ideally, basil should be kept in as bright a place as possible during the winter months, preferably on a windowsill with as much daylight as possible.
Now in spring and the summer months, this problem should no longer arise as the days are longer and the light is more intense.
Now we hope these tips will help.
