I apologize that the organic Gala apples have given cause for complaint.
The observed phenomenon is the so-called flesh browning, a disorder that can occur after prolonged storage of the apples.
The apple supplier has been informed. All batches are checked by the supplier for flesh browning before they are packaged. Unfortunately, given the large quantities involved, it can never be completely ruled out that products with a defect may nevertheless reach the points of sale. We have not received any further reports of this kind and hope that this is an isolated situation, which we very much regret.
Please tell us the store where you bought the product. As soon as we know where it was, we will inform the manager so that he can replace the product for you.
