There really are a lot of screws. And the little plastic covers for the screws are a bit of a pain to put on, but we like the look of it and it looks sturdy. And our daughter likes it anyway.

a lot of screws to assemble, luckily there are cordless screwdrivers. the kids are really enjoying the bed, and so are we! - the only thing that fits is the top ends of the posts, which are a bit of a cheap solution. a full-surface finish would be more practical than 3 covers per post. and it wobbles slightly when the kids are romping around, but that's probably the case with every loft bed.
