Are these containers mothproof? Do they close airtight?
Hello Pony Thank you for your inquiry. A storage tin cannot be 100% airtight, because every time the tin is opened, some air will still remain in the tin when it is closed. This cannot be avoided. Airtight means that all unwanted cracks and seams are sealed to prevent uncontrolled air leakage. Our storage solutions extend the storage time, but in the long run air and moisture will always enter the box, which can cause the products to become mushy and/or lumpy. How long this lasts depends on the type of product. Flour mites/bugs thrive in a warm and humid environment, so it is best to store products in a cool, dry, dark and well-sealed place.
