Why is the product (at least online) not labeled with a warning? Melamine is suspected of causing kidney stones and kidney cancer if the material is heated or comes into contact with acid. Therefore, this tableware must not be used for hot food or acidic fruit etc. Personally, I would not even recommend products made from this material for the dining table.
Hello Tramal, thank you for your feedback. Our clarifications took a little longer than expected, please accept our apologies.
Products with food contact are subject to legal requirements, which we check accordingly for our Migros own brands before product launch. Migros also pays special attention to melamine tableware.
Our own brands are therefore also labeled accordingly in Migros. As a rule, the packaging indicates that the tableware is not suitable for heating food (not suitable for the microwave, 2h, 70°C).
Unfortunately, in your case there is no indication on the packaging. However, we will rectify this in the future. However, it is engraved on the plate itself that it is not suitable for the microwave. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team
