1 question

I have often opened such a tin, the meat is more grayish than pink, what is the reason? And it also tastes different. There have also been tins that are so bland, rather unseasoned. Picture above gray, below pink. Thank you for a prompt reply

Hello CHKumpel, can you please give us the best-before date and the lot number? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dat: 10-2024 Lot. LD26G21

Hello CHKumpel, thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately, the tin in which the meatloaf is packaged does not offer 100% light protection. The white color has only limited opacity against light. This can cause the described change in the meatloaf. But influences such as storage time and light can also change the appearance. This means that the cooler the storage temperatures are, the shorter the meatloaf has been stored and the less the meatloaf is exposed to light, the pinker the meatloaf will look. As you can see in your photo, the meatloaf is flawless. The upper meatloaf is lighter in color and slightly brownish towards the edge. However, it is difficult to judge from the picture alone. You are welcome to send us the empty tin so that the manufacturer can carry out further tests. Send it to us at Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund, M-Infoline / Reference 20230103-1152, Limmatstrasse 152, 8031 Zurich. You can hand them in free of charge to your Migros customer service or send them to us by post (we will of course refund the postage). Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I'm sorry to hear that, but the faulty meat loaf has already been disposed of. I can only tell you that the meat loafs I buy don't get very old. And they are generally stored in the fridge. There is room for 40 tins in the larger drawer at the bottom of the fridge. The turnover of this drawer is approx. 10 days. No tin can stays with me longer than that. As I said, I've already had several of these color-changing meat cheeses. I regret that I didn't keep the tin. I have disposed of it with its contents. Thank you for your efforts and your detailed reply. Yours sincerely, M. Riesen

Hello CHKumpel, thank you for your feedback. We have gladly submitted this to the specialist department and will keep an eye on the issue. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
