Does the plastic inside this can contain bisphenols? Whether BPA, BPS, or whatever the latest ones are called... Thanks for the information.
Hello argonori, thank you for your question. All our packaging complies with our internal specifications as well as all legal requirements. We also regularly check all packaging on a risk basis. Depending on the product and its acidity, we use either tin or plastic to coat the inside walls of the cans. Naturally, there are also clear guidelines for these materials, which we check independently. As a result, both materials are unproblematic. They are ideal for storing food in cans and guarantee the specified shelf life. Migros has been monitoring the issue of bisphenol A (BPA) for years. We base our risk assessments on the statements of the FOPH (Federal Office of Public Health), the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and the BfR (Federal Institute for Risk Assessment). Our suppliers are obliged to comply with the legal requirements. We carry out regular checks on bisphenol A as part of our offer sample checks and product range inspections to ensure compliance with the law. You can view the FOPH fact sheet here:https://www.blv.admin.ch/blv/de/home/gebrauchsgegenstaende/materialien-in-kontakt-mit-lebensmitteln/verpackungen.html. In addition, BPA-free inner coatings are now increasingly being used for canned food, so that not every can with an inner coating necessarily contains BPA. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

It doesn't say cook, just heat! What happens if you do cook them?
Hello Tuta, the beans have already been cooked once. We therefore recommend only warming the beans. If you cook them again, they can become very soft. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

i generally don't like white beans with this sauce at all. my question is, why are these beans (dwarf beans) without sauce not available in switzerland? i always take them with me from austria. You can prepare a lot more dishes with them.
Hi guest
We regret that the M-Classic beans do not taste good in the sauce.
This is a ready-made dish that only needs to be warmed up.
However, we also stock white beans which are only soaked in water (article number 1530.513).
If you want to prepare a salad, we recommend the canned chickpeas.
Have a nice day and best regards from the M-Infoline team

Dear M- Infoline Team,
The M-Classic "white beans" are available in both a larger and a smaller tin, both tins have the same design, only the tin size/content quantity differs. However, the two cans have different energy values for 220g each. May I ask why this is the case and which information is considered more accurate from M's point of view?
Thank you very much for your information,
with kind regards
"maripac"
Hello maripac
The nutritional values on both the smaller and the larger "white beans" cans are correct. The fact that the energy value varies slightly is due to the recipe. The proportion of beans in the smaller tin is higher, which ultimately affects the energy value (290g tin: bean content 38%, 445g tin: bean content 37%, 885g tin: bean content 34%).
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

Good day
Exciting! But what's behind it all? Why do the recipes differ? Are there different manufacturers behind them?
Greetings
Stef
Hello guest
The manufacturer is the same for both pack sizes - Bischofszell. This is also stated on the cans. The nutritional values vary due to the slightly different proportion of beans in relation to the sauce.

Many thanks for the answer.
Unfortunately, I still can't understand it: Why are different compositions filled into the different sized cans?
I can picture the filling line in my mind's eye. On the one hand, the large cans are filled with recipe A, and then the small cans are filled with recipe B (with slightly different proportions of beans in relation to the sauce). This still leaves me with the question: Why does Bischofszell rely on a different proportion of beans?
Many thanks and best regards
Stef
Hello guest
Thank you very much for your feedback.
The recipe for the sauce and the beans as raw materials are identical for both products. Only the ratio of sauce to beans is different.
The large 885g tin has fewer beans because the sterilization parameters are significantly higher than for a medium or small tin. Due to the longer sterilization time, the beans absorb more liquid. With an equal proportion of 38%, the end product would be too viscous and overcooked. This is why 34% is used.
Were we able to answer your questions with this explanation?
