According to the list of ingredients, the mustard contains no added sugar. However, the nutritional table states that 2g of the 4.5g carbohydrates are sugar. Would I like to know what form this sugar takes in this product? Thank you very much
Hello amelu The term "of which sugar" or "types of sugar" in the nutritional information refers not only to added granulated sugar, but also to all simple and disaccharides contained in a product, for example sucrose (white sugar), glucose (dextrose), fructose (fruit sugar) or lactose (milk sugar). If the term "of which sugar" appears in the nutritional information, this does not (only) refer to white household sugar, but to all the different types of sugar. In French and Italian, the plural forms - sucres and zuccheri - indicate that we are not talking about "sugar", but about the different types of sugar, added and/or naturally contained. Mustard does not contain any added sugar, so the declared sugar content is exclusively naturally occurring sugars from the mustard seeds and vinegar. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
